I wanted to make a picture for Darwin’s bedroom (which he actually doesn’t sleep in, it’s used only for nappy changes). I bought some Japanese material off etsy and using a staple gun attached it to a cheap canvas that I bought in a bargain bookshop. A simple project that even craft novices like me can’t mess up.

crafty christmas

* Eddie Ross has the fantastic bauble wreath tutorial. Looks stunning but surprisingly simple to make. I think I’m going to hit the sales for cheap baubles and make it next Christmas.

* One Pretty Thing has a handmade holiday gift guide. My favourite pages are the bath and beauty and edible crafts

* 30 pampering beauty and spa gifts to make from tipnut

* Creature comforts has a tutorial for a pretty eco happy pom pom gift topper

* Canon has this seriously nice calendar to print and assemble. Seen at Zakka Life. I think this would make a lovely present.

make a christmas winter village

I want to make a glittery Christmas house like this:

(sorry I don’t know whose this is because I can’t remember where I found this on the internet)

So I dug out the following:
* Martha Stewart has this how to with template
* Craft a mini holiday village
* Carol Duvall’s holiday village how to
* Get inspiration and plans from Little Glitter Houses

I will show you my finished house soon (that’s when I actually begin making it).
