Before I blog about our honeymoon I feel I should really finish the second part of the wedding report. Yes I know it’s way overdue seeing as we got married 6 months ago but I can be rather good at procrastinating, even when blogging about happy events!
Here is wedding: part one.
So after the ceremony we all made our way outside to the steps and guests were invited to throw confetti at us.

I made the confetti cones out of cream paper doilies and filled them with cream “sweety flower” confetti petals from Daisyshop which worked our to be really cheap. I displayed the cones in a big cream wire cupcake stand, I’m not sure anyone really noticed as much as I did but I thought it looked beautiful.
Next we had lots of photos taken in front of the ruins with our guests.

Then dinner was served outside. Being both vegetarians and a good proportion of our families also being veggies we decided to keep the wedding meat free. The chef at The Priest’s House did a wonderful job of catering and we thought all the food tasted delicious. It was a real treat to be able to eat something from every dish without worrying if it had meat in. I’m not sure the lack of meat went down well with eveyone, my Grandad especially is an ardent meat eater and wondered where the pork pies were!
Here we are scoffing our veggie feast

Our friends Miki and Steve and Simon and Kerry bought us some “khoom fay” or fire lanterns which we lit in the evening.

They looked stunning as they floated off into the distance. Of course I nearly set my veil on fire and one nearly collided with my Grandad!

We left in a taxi at about 10pm for our nearby hotel. We booked the room as it had a four-poster bed, something I’ve always wanted to sleep in. I really didn’t want to take my dress off or let my hair down as I felt so gorgeous.
It really was the perfect day and eveything that we had dreamed of for our wedding.
