wedding shoes

wedding-shoes.jpg

All the wedding planning is coming along nicely. The venue and honeymoon is booked, my dress is ordered and my ring has arrived. C has a vintage suit and a ring in mind.

These are my wedding shoes which I bought from Evans of all places. I had been hunting on all the usual online wedding shoe shops but couldn’t find anything to suit in my price range. However I found these in the Chester branch for the bargain price of £25! Sorry that the sofa in the background looks a mess.

dog duvet

I’ve been searching online for items to put on our gift list. I stumbled upon this naff looking dog duvet. Needless to say I shan’t be asking for it.

photoshop of horrors

For $35 you can be hideously retouched at Kel’s photo creations. Most of the sprogs that have been photoshopped end up looking like very bad e-fits. Check out the the before and after page. The website looks like it was designed circa 1990s and the special effects will give you a seizure.

sunny weather

It’s such good weather at the moment that it sucks that I’m stuck inside writing an essay. Still it’s the last essay of this OU course but then it’s exam time :( Oh well then I get the rest of the summer to play outside and then we get married in August, yipeee.

what’s love? for conchita the endangered monkey it’s her teddy bear mum

The white-naped mangabey is among the most endangered primates in the world and the birth at London Zoo was a red-letter day for the international captive breeding programme. It was born three weeks ago by Caesarean section and the mother, who was seriously ill for several days, was unable to care for the newborn, named Conchita.

“She hugs that bear day and night,” said Andrea Payne, the keeper in charge of caring for the baby. “She will run to the bear when she’s alarmed. She won’t run to me. She clamps on to it just like she would her mother.

“The teddy bear is now a bit poo-ey and smelly but to the baby it is her own special smell which reassures the animal. The baby recognises the smell, it’s a comfort to her. Washing the teddy would make it unrecognisable.”
