an anouncement

Well I’ve been home from Japan for over a week now and I still haven’t got round to telling you about what an amazing place it is. I promise I will get round to it very soon when I’ve finished writing my essay (due in very soon and I’m finding it a challenge).

Getting to the good bit:
On the last evening of the holiday we went up Tokyo Tower (bit like the Eiffel Tower) where there’s a 360° view of Tokyo which was stunning becase it was ll lit up. I commented on how romantic it was up there and then C asked me to marry him and produced a ring from his pocket. I of course said yes ^_^

I’ll post some pictures of the romantic views when I manage to get through editing all 600 of the photos.

i love tokyo

Quick catchup: We are having a fantastic time in Japan. I`m using the hotel`s free internet which is incredibly slow. Using the subway and trains is easy enough. Some people actually bow when you pay at the till (some just nod). Eveything has a cute cartoon on it. Knee high socks are still the fashion. We are finding it very hard to anything vegetarian, they sure do love their meat and fish!

I had a dizzy attack on the plane and now I`m ill with another cold.

Favourite day so far is going to see everyone dressed up madly in Harajuku. We are off to see Mount Fuji tomorrow.

i’d love to stay but i think i’m off to japan anyway

said the Sundays. I’ve been wanting to say that for years! I’ve packed my massive case and printed out reams of paper on vegetarian restaurants in Tokyo (who bets I end up eating fish by mistake?). So I guess I’m good to go. I better get some kip before I get up at the ungodly hour of 5.30am.
