harry potter is gay/satanic – allegedly

The Immaculate Conception as Perverted in the Pagan Harry Potter Books is a bizarre attack on Harry Potter and because apparently the books have a hidden satanic agenda. I can’t help wondering if this article is a joke but it’s featured on a site full of articles about “exposing satanism” and Christianity. They are going to alot of trouble for a joke which only leaves me to conclude it’s a nutjob writing it.

It was with fear and a great sense of shame and guilt that I touched the cover of a Harry Potter book for the first time, and then forced myself to sit through the movies. For weeks I had prayed and asked for guidance, and I hope it was God’s will that I did, and saw with my own eyes what is foisted upon the eyes and minds of our children.

I have heard many bad things about these books and movies, there would be countless instances of witchcraft, cursing, brewing of drugs made by boiling alive babies pulled from the earth, sexual congress with goats and many more things not fit for young readers’ and viewers’ eyes, but what I found was much worse still than I had feared.

On which page is there the bit about “boiling babies alive” and copulating with goats? I must have missed that chapter.

In a particularly distasteful and lewd display, Potter tries to tempt the rightfully furious Angel by raising his pant leg and showing him his nude ankle. In this way the Harry Potter books contribute to the hidden gay agenda. When this temptation is refused, he has a malignant house spirit who embodies all the evils of stem-cell research curse the angel down.

Since when did raising your trousers and showing an ankle make you gay?

The worst product available to corrupt our youth was Potter’s vibrating broomstick, now taken off the market under pressure of Christian parents because it taught young girls how to abuse themselves and awoke their interest in the sins of the flesh.

Snigger

Our own President and his wife have let this evil into the White House and have boasted Harry Potter themed Christmas decorations!

So George Bush has actually got a little bit of sense then?

I won’t even start ranting as to the article on homosexuality!

oscar the cat predicts patients’ deaths

“Oscar the cat seems to have an uncanny knack for predicting when nursing home patients are going to die, by curling up next to them during their final hours. His accuracy, observed in 25 cases, has led the staff to call family members once he has chosen someone. It usually means they have less than four hours to live.” [Breitbart]

the best mascara ever

I’m always on a beauty quest for the best foundation, concealer, mascara etc You know the bit of make-up that will change your face from grotty to gorgeous or the moisturiser that will transform you into a radiant beauty. When you have a spotty face such as mine you need every help money can buy. Still I want products that don’t cost the earth and have a bit of natural/environmental kudos.

I’ve finally found my dream mascara: Dr Hauschka black mascara which costs £14.

Okay so it’s not the cheapest one out there but it really works. I have lovely long lashes actually but they do need colour on them because if I don’t apply any mascara my eyes fade away, so if you need length then try Dr Hasuchka’s volume mascara. What I love most about the mascara is that it contains lovely natural ingredients and they tell you exactly what goes into it and what each ingredient is derived from. The mascara contains rose essential oil and emits it beautiful smell every time you open it. You feel that your lashes are cared for and it’s easy to remove too. The best bit is that it seems impossible to get clumpy lashes. I wouldn’t dream of using anything else now.

harry potter and the deathly hallows – no spoilers

I won’t give anything away in case you are still reading but I’ve just finished . I only started it late on Saturday night because I had to work that day. I feel rather emotional at the moment because I’ve been crying and laughing all weekend. It kept me up way beyond my bedtime because it was so exciting and I haven’t got round to washing this morning because I just had to finish it. I was left so bereft at the end of book six that I was almost hesitant to read this in case anything worse happened. I’m glad I did because it’s flippin’ brilliant. The climax was very moving and I loved the ending.

Mind you the cover illustation is dreadful, whoever comissioned that illustrator should be put under a body-binding curse.

I need to find an equally absorbing book to help me come to terms with the end of the Harry Potter Series, I feel like I’m grieving for a friend!

lumpy massage

I was browsing the beauty hall in Debenhams the other day and I passed the new Elemis counter. Sales ladies must see me coming because I got lured with the talk of £10 off a facial and bag of trial size treats to promote their opening. So booked in for a facial (of the beauty kind) today.

Before the facial I had a “complexion analysis report” which involved me posing in front of a special box thingy which took two pictures of my face, one in regular light and one in UV light. The results were displayed on a computer and I was given scores which represented skin features detected within a selected area of my face. It showed unsurprisingly that I didn’t have wrinkles (I’m 28) but I did have some large pores and bacteria. What was scary is the UV spots I have that looked like I have rampant freckles all over my face. I was then given a rundown of Elemis’ beauty products and how they could help me. I wanted to get my grubby paws on the whole range as they smell gorgeous (made with lots of organic goodness) but none of it comes cheap.

I was led off the shop floor into a relaxing room with dimmed lighting. The beauty therapist left the room so I could remove my top and sit in the chair draped with a sheet. On her return she programmed the massage chair and warned me it was quite vigorous. She was not wrong! It was the strangest feeling ever. From my head to my legs I was massaged by a lumpy chair which made me shake about. The chair even massaged my legs but it kept squeezing them so much I though I was going to walk away with D.V.T. The facial was nice, short at half an hour but the products smelt good. I can’t say I was particularly relaxed by the whole affair. My skin did look radiant afterwards though I was left to scare Chester with my makeup-less face (showing my spots off).

I was led back out onto the shop floor and succumbed to the spiel about how much better my skin would be with so and so cream and I handed over my credit card again. Left the shop feeling like a daft apeth because the cream is way more than I’ve ever spent on a face cream before. In fact I’m not even going to tell you how much it cost because I’m embarrassed. Oh well at least it didn’t cost as much as a jar of Creme de la Mer at £145 because I’m not that stupid. I consoled myself with the fact that I got some free cellular recovery capsules (wtf are those?!) with my posh new cream.

the sunscreen myth

How suncreen products actually promote cancer.

sunscreen actually promotes cancer by blocking your body’s absorption of ultraviolet radiation, and therefore blocking the production of vitamin D in your skin.

Studies have shown that vitamin D can prevent as many as 77 of all cancers. In addition, most sunscreen lotions also contain cancer-causing chemicals.

That’s something else for me to worry about! I usually stay out of the sun and slather on sunscreen religiously if I go outside. Now I’m not sure what I should be doing, oh dear.

Mercola says you can boost “your skin’s internal sunscreen… with effective antoxidants from whole fresh vegetables and fruits like goji berries (not the juice), raspberries, blackberries, blueberries.” The application of aloe vera gel can also help.

Do you remember Saved by the Bell? I used to watch it in the summer holidays on channel 4. Here’s a flashback with their hopeless anti-drug message.

thermogenic foods

Here’s a guide to thermogenic foods – that is foods that raise your metabolism and help to burn fat. Thermogenic foods that will help you to loose weight include apple cider vinegar, coconut oil, green tea and cayenne pepper. Obviously if you added some of these foods to your diet but continued to trough burgers and fries then you won’t be slim!

Pu-Erh tea has recently been widely publicised in womens’ magazines as its supposed to help you loose weight. Apparently Victoria Beckham drinks it but that offers no incentive to me. This special tea is “one of China’s oldest teas and is widely drunk to manage weight and cholesterol levels as well as aid digestion and manage weight.” I have no idea if this claim stands up to scientific testing but I do know I love tea so if it doesn’t work at least I’ve had a nice cuppa.
