Seen In Rusholme, Manchester, on the Wilmslow Road aka “the curry mile”

Today is my 27th birthday. I receioved a miffy moneybox, some money and the best present ever, an animated card from C. He painstakingly filmed it frame by frame, with the help of a few chums (that’d be cuddly chums that live in the bed). Adorable!

C treated me trip to the Cornerhouse, an indie cinema, where we saw Howl’s Moving Castle (Hauru no ugoku shiro) a Hayao Miyazaki animation film. I really enjoyed the film even if it is a bit odd in places. I think maybe that’s due to my Western upbringing though. It’s nothing like a Disney animation (thankfully) and has some breathtaking scenes with almost no CGI used.

Dinner was a trip to No. 1 Oriental Buffet an “all you can eat” restaurant where we gorged ourselves silly.

“Trngri [sic], a 13-week-old red panda, goes on a walkabout yesterdat. An endangered species from China, she is being carefull looked after at Marwell Zoo, in Hampshire, after two earlier babies from her parents failed to survive.”

After looking at the zoo’s website we find that the cub is a boy called Tingri and not a girl called Trngri!

This is Tyn Church or “Our Lady Before Tyn” on Old Town Square. It’s a stunning building, the best parts being the turrets.

Prague had a lot beautiful doors and this one with the grotesque face caught my eye.

Prague, or Praha as it is know to it’s inhabitants, is truly a beautiful city. So many stunning buildings, looming churches and amazing panoramas.

I’ve chosen this picture of Malostranska metro station beucase I loved their public transport system! It was so easy, cheap and convenient to use. We just hopped on trams and tubes with our pre-bought ticket and then hopped off with no hassle. Some of the metro stations had an air of Communism about them or a retro feel which I love.

I’m using C’s photograph because my pictures are all stuck on another computer which I can’t access properly, so I will post some more when I can.

I’d love to stay but I think I’m off to Prague. See you in a week. I need to go and set the alarm for 4.45am *_*
