Darwin and I went to visit the local horsey field and I picked a bag full of blackberries whilst he observed in the sling. It felt a bit like “extreme babywearing” as I had to dodge all the brambles as they seemed to be at Darwin head level.

This is what happens when your baby-led weaning baby eats blackberries. He didn’t seem to mind their sharp taste, I had to hide mine in icecream.

I wanted to make a picture for Darwin’s bedroom (which he actually doesn’t sleep in, it’s used only for nappy changes). I bought some Japanese material off etsy and using a staple gun attached it to a cheap canvas that I bought in a bargain bookshop. A simple project that even craft novices like me can’t mess up.

I saw these panda leggings on ebay and couldn’t resist, and it’s true he does love milk (from me).

Darwin is over six months now and has finally worked out how to roll over which still surprises me when I go back into a room and find he’s not on his back as I left him. I’m going to have to watch him like a hawk when he starts crawling. His first tooth is emerging which means my boobs are getting a bit nom nommed I take him off and say no firmly but he just thinks it’s a new game to play.

Darwin is so lucky to get some NHS glasses to go with his NHS bib.

We went to an out of town Tesco supermarket on Saturday. I spotted a work colleague and spent the rest of the shopping trip trying to dodge her. I used to work with evil Janet who was such a bitch to everyone. She once commented, before I was pregnant, that I should “stop sticking my stomach out as it made me look pregnant”. I mean there’s just no need for such rudeness. I never told her how everyone at work thinks she’s an old, tangoed slapper. I couldn’t face her seeing Darwin or casting her eyes over my post-pregnancy body. It’s daft as I don’t really value her opinion anyway. I’m not going back to work so hopefully I’ll never see her again.

Two billboards in Marsa advertising the Pope’s visit to Malta got the unlikely addition of two stencilled images of what looks like a panda. It is not clear why the “artist” in question juxtaposed the bears with the Pope. The organising committee was alerted yesterday morning and it plans to erase the images.
